Rose Bowl parking: the golf course lots and no published rate

Three parking lots at the Rose Bowl have a letter and a measured area. Not one of the three has a published price for a fan.

Rose Bowl parking: Lot Opens event-day guide

The area of three Rose Bowl Stadium parking lots is published in square feet and the price of a space in them is published nowhere, verified September 2026. Both facts sit on the same website, one page apart.

What follows stays inside what the Rose Bowl Operating Company prints: which lots carry a letter, which carry a description, why the gate letters do not match the lot letters, and the single deadline a driver is handed.

Rose Bowl Stadium measures three of its lots and prices none of them

Rose Bowl Stadium publishes no parking price for a fan and one deadline for a car: lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the game, read September 2026. Favorable, a pass is already bought. Normal, the opening hour has to be looked up event by event. Unfavorable, the game runs long and the clearing starts.

The parking page carries two purchase links, one for events and one for UCLA football, and the same promise beside each: passes can be purchased here, in the venue’s own wording, read September 2026. No amount appears next to either link.

That silence is not a page under construction. It runs across every fan facing line the stadium publishes about a vehicle, while a separate page written for film crews prints a rate card with four figures on it.

Everything Rose Bowl Stadium names for an arriving vehicle sits below, with what each line settles and what it leaves open, read September 2026.

One column carries dollar amounts, and every one of them was written for a film crew.

The lots carry letters on one page and descriptions on another

Two naming systems run side by side at Rose Bowl Stadium, and both belong to the same issuer, read September 2026. The filming and crew page lists Lot B at 190,000 square feet, Lot F at 453,500 square feet and Lot K at 490,000 square feet. The stadium rules name the golf course, the ball diamonds, Area H and the West Drive RV parking instead.

A third page adds a letter the filming page never measures. Accessible parking stalls are located in Lots B, Lot D and Lot F, in the wording of the Accessible Services page, read September 2026, so Lot D is a real lot that simply carries no published area. Lot B travels furthest across the site: the Rose Bowl Shuttle from the Parsons Engineering Complex in Old Town Pasadena sets its passengers down there, per Rose Bowl Stadium.

Gates are lettered as well, and the letters do not line up. Gate A, Gate B and Gate C are pedestrian gates, with the Public Safety Building between Gates A and B and the Checked Items Tent at Gate C, according to Rose Bowl Stadium. Reading Gate B as the way into Lot B is reading two systems as one.

Crypto.com Arena letters its parking too, and two gates of its West Garage bill the same car differently, which is what a lettered scheme looks like when the letters carry prices. In Pasadena the letters carry areas.

A letter on a Rose Bowl page is not always a lot.

The four parking amounts Rose Bowl Stadium publishes were written for film crews

Filming and crew parking at the Rose Bowl costs $15 per vehicle per day and $30 per truck per day, with a base camp day at $650 and a minimum booking of $1,000, according to Rose Bowl Stadium, read September 2026.

Those four figures are the entire published parking rate card of the venue, and a ticket holder is not the customer any of them addresses. A production books them by the day. Someone driving to a game gets two purchase links and no number.

Of the twenty-seven Western venues Lot Opens reads from source, twenty-one publish no parking rate, so a missing fan price in Pasadena is ordinary. Publishing a full rate card for a camera crew on the way to not publishing one for a fan is not.

No other venue Lot Opens reads from source prints a filming and crew parking rate of its own, a page addressed to a production rather than to a ticket holder (Lot Opens count, September 2026). Allegiant Stadium carries figures that belong to SpotHero, and the Kia Forum carries one that belongs to Lyft, and in both cases the seller is an outside operator rather than the building.

Two neighbors show the other ways this ends. The $40 advance rate Dodger Stadium prints for General Parking is a fan rate card published in full, and the five statements the Kia Forum puts where a parking rate would go is silence with a named seller attached to it.

A production gets a number. A ticket holder gets a link.

Parking lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the game

Parking lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the game, in the sentence Rose Bowl Stadium publishes in its stadium rules, read September 2026. The count starts at the real end of the event, not at the time printed on the ticket.

Worked against an example 7:30 p.m. kickoff and a game running three hours, that deadline lands at midnight (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026, taken from an example start time rather than from a published schedule). A game that runs half an hour over moves it to 12:30 a.m., and nothing about the published rule moves with it.

Overnight parking is prohibited in the same rules, so the ninety minutes are not a soft edge. Spaces run first come first served and holding one for a car that has not arrived is not allowed, per Rose Bowl Stadium, with the Rose Bowl Operating Company reachable at (626) 577-3100.

The tailgate has an earlier deadline than the lot does. A contracted private tailgate can begin as early as three (3) hours prior to kickoff and ends when the game starts, and alcohol is not to be consumed in the tailgate areas after kickoff, according to Rose Bowl Stadium.

Three edges of the day sit in the stadium rules, and the fourth sits on the event page.

The Rose Bowl prints its lot closing once and its lot opening event by event

General parking lots open at different times depending on the event, in the stadium’s own sentence, which sends drivers to the event page for the hour, read September 2026. The page for San Diego State vs UCLA on September 12, 2026 printed its timeline as parking lots at 10:15 AM, shuttle operation at 1:15 PM and kickoff at 4:15 PM, so for that game the lots opened 6 hours before kickoff (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). Of the names in the table below, BMO Stadium is the one that leaves the opening hour out entirely.

Set out below is what each venue prints at the two ends of a parking day, with every figure taken from the venue that publishes it, read September 2026.

Venue and its own pages, read September 2026What it publishes about the lot openingWhat it prints for the end of the nightWhich end the driver gets
Rose Bowl Stadium, PasadenaVaries by event, and the San Diego State vs UCLA page printed 10:15 AM for a 4:15 PM kickoffParking lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the gameBoth ends, with the opening looked up per event
Kia Forum, InglewoodOpens 3 hours before most events, in the arena’s varies by event wordingCloses 1 hour after the endBoth ends
Allegiant Stadium, Las VegasLots open 4 hours before kickoffLots clear 1 hour after the endBoth ends
Angel Stadium, AnaheimThe lot opens 2.5 hours before game timen/a: nothing is printed for the end of the nightThe opening only
Crypto.com Arena, Los AngelesMost lots open 90 minutes before the eventLots stay staffed until 60 minutes after the eventBoth ends
Dodger Stadium, Los AngelesParking gates open 2.5 hours before the scheduled first pitchThe Dodger Stadium Express runs for 45 minutes after the last outBoth ends, with the second attached to a bus
Oracle Park, San FranciscoGates open 90 minutes on weekdays and 2 hours at weekendsBike valet closes 30 minutes after the last outBoth ends, with the second attached to a bicycle
BMO Stadium, Los Angelesn/a: no lot hour is publishedn/a: no lot closing is publishedNeither end

For a driver who wants to know when to arrive, Angel Stadium wins, and the criterion is that its lot opens 2.5 hours before game time whatever the fixture, so nothing has to be looked up per date. For a driver who wants the longest published margin after the final whistle, the Rose Bowl wins among the venues in the table above: its 90 minutes beat the 1 hour the Kia Forum publishes and the 60 minutes Crypto.com Arena keeps its lots staffed.

Where the second column matters most is a concert or a college game that overruns, and the hour the Kia Forum gives a car after the last song is the tighter version of the same rule.

One end of the day is a promise. The other is an event page lookup.

Metro’s A Line stops short of the Rose Bowl, and two issuers measure the gap differently

Metro runs the A Line to Memorial Park Station, and the Getting Here page of Rose Bowl Stadium publishes two ways to cover what is left: walk approximately 2.4 miles, or purchase a shuttle pass and take the Rose Bowl Shuttle, read September 2026. Its Accessible Services page describes the same shuttle bus service differently: generally free of charge, although occasionally there is a fee to ride it.

The shuttle starts at the Parsons Engineering Complex in Old Town Pasadena and ends at Lot B, and its operation varies depending on the event, per Rose Bowl Stadium. For San Diego State vs UCLA on September 12, 2026, the event page put shuttle operation at 1:15 PM. Bus shuttles run every 5-7 minutes, according to Metro, whose Rose Bowl page also gives the walk as 1.5 miles through the scenic Arroyo Seco trail.

Metrolink trains reach Union Station and hand riders over to the A Line for the last leg, with Metrolink reachable at 800-371-5465. The stadium pages attach no fare and no journey time to any part of that chain. The rideshare point varies by event as well, and the venue suggests riding the shuttle back to Old Town and calling a car from there.

Both halves of the trip leave a number unsettled, and not the same one. On the transit side the walk has two lengths and the shuttle has two answers about paying. On the lot side the deadline is published and the rate is not. The Dodger Stadium Express, free with a game ticket, is what the other end of that trade looks like across town.

A rail ticket ends 2.4 miles short of the gate by the stadium’s count and 1.5 by Metro’s.

Four named freeway exits and not one published travel time

Rose Bowl Stadium publishes freeway routes from three directions and names four exits, and it attaches no travel time to any of them, read September 2026. From the west the route is the 134, from the south the 110 linking to the 5, the 2 and the 210, and from the north and east the 210.

The four exits are Berkshire, Arroyo/Windsor, Lincoln Avenue/Washington Boulevard and Seco/Mountain. Eight surface streets carry the last stretch: San Rafael Avenue, Colorado Boulevard, Linda Vista Avenue, Salvia Canyon, Fair Oaks Avenue, Holly Street, Union Street and Walnut Street.

What the directions never carry is a minute. No drive time, no congestion figure and no note about when the approach roads fill appears in what the venue publishes, so the hour to leave home is planned against the lot opening on the event page rather than against any drive time from the issuer.

Compare that with a venue that prints its arrival number once, and Allegiant Stadium, whose lots open 4 hours before kickoff, hands a driver something to plan against without an event lookup. Pasadena hands over street names and an event page.

Eight street names, four exits, and no drive time.

Lines on the Rose Bowl pages that decide where a car ends up

  • Spaces run first come first served and holding one is not allowed. Saving a space for a car that has not arrived is prohibited, per Rose Bowl Stadium, read September 2026, which leaves arrival order as the only queue there is.
  • There are no in and out privileges, and the stadium writes it twice. The tailgating rules state there are no in and out privileges for vehicles, and the prohibited items list states that once you exit the stadium, you may not re-enter.
  • A tent sits in front of or behind its owner’s vehicle and stops at 10 feet by 10 feet. Anything larger counts as an organized party and is arranged in advance, according to Rose Bowl Stadium.
  • Charcoal is allowed in most areas and barred from the West Drive RV parking. Open flames are prohibited and grills are required to sit off the ground, per the tailgating rules, and Angel Stadium keeps its own tailgating out of the preferred areas under a comparable split.
  • Alcohol is not consumed in the tailgate areas after kickoff. The tailgate window and the parking window close at different moments, and the drinks close first.
  • Outside food is prohibited only for non-UCLA games. A UCLA fixture is the one date when a cooler travels in, a distinction no other venue among the twenty-seven Lot Opens reads from source draws (Lot Opens count, September 2026).
  • Ambassadors work the lots in green uniforms and on bicycles. Pasadena police are present as well, per Rose Bowl Stadium, so every rule above has somebody attached to it.

Assumptions that fail between the Arroyo exit and Lot B

  • Reading the $15 filming figure as a fan rate. That amount is what a production pays per vehicle per day at the Rose Bowl, and no fan rate is published at any figure.
  • Counting the 90 minutes from the time printed on the ticket. A ticket reading 7:30 p.m. sets no deadline at all, because lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the game, so an overrun moves the deadline later and a blowout moves it earlier.
  • Reading the three hour tailgate window as a lot opening. Those three (3) hours belong to a contracted private tailgate, while general parking lots open at different times depending on the event, with the hour printed on the event page.
  • Expecting Gate B to sit beside Lot B. Gates and lots are lettered separately at Rose Bowl Stadium, and nothing published pairs one letter with the other.
  • Planning to walk in from Memorial Park Station without checking. The venue publishes approximately 2.4 miles for that walk, Metro gives 1.5 miles on the Arroyo Seco trail, and the shuttle alternative is a pass on one Rose Bowl page and generally free of charge on another.
  • Going back to the car for something the gate refused. There are no in and out privileges for a vehicle or for a person, and large bags go back to the vehicle or into an item check-in tent.

Which Rose Bowl pages carried each line here

The lot letters and their square footage, the $15 per vehicle rate, the $30 truck rate, the $650 base camp day and the $1,000 minimum come from the Filming and Crew Parking page of Rose Bowl Stadium, read September 2026. That page is the only one on the site with a parking amount on it.

The 90 minute closing, the first come first served rule, the ban on overnight parking, the tent and grill rules and the prohibited items list come from the stadium rules and tailgating pages. The 2.4 mile walk, the A Line, the Rose Bowl Shuttle, the freeway exits and the street names come from the Getting Here page, read the same day.

The accessible stalls in Lots B, D and F and the free of charge wording for the shuttle come from the Accessible Services page. The 10:15 AM lot opening and the 1:15 PM shuttle start come from the San Diego State vs UCLA event page. The 5-7 minute shuttle frequency and the 1.5 mile trail walk come from the Rose Bowl page Metro publishes, read September 2026.

Figures for Angel Stadium, Allegiant Stadium, Crypto.com Arena, Dodger Stadium, the Kia Forum, Oracle Park and BMO Stadium come from those venues’ own pages and are named beside them in the table. Nothing was carried across from a parking marketplace, and no lot letter was borrowed from anywhere except the pages that print it.

The figures in this guide were verified in September 2026 against the sources named in each section. Parking at Rose Bowl Stadium is published without a rate, general lot opening varies by event, and shuttle operation changes with the event; check the issuer’s page before you travel.

Questions drivers ask before an event at the Rose Bowl

Six answers on the price the Rose Bowl leaves out, the pages that name its lots, and the two clocks it publishes for a car, read September 2026.

How much does parking cost at the Rose Bowl?

No fan rate is published. The Rose Bowl parking page carries an event link and a UCLA football link with the line that passes can be purchased here, and no amount, read September 2026. The four amounts on the site, from $15 per vehicle per day to a $1,000 minimum, sit on the filming and crew page.

What time do the Rose Bowl parking lots open?

It changes by event and sits on the event page. General parking lots open at different times depending on the event, per Rose Bowl Stadium, read September 2026. The San Diego State vs UCLA page for September 12, 2026 listed 10:15 AM for parking lots and 4:15 PM for kickoff. A private tailgate has its own three (3) hours.

What time do the Rose Bowl parking lots close?

Parking lots close 90 minutes following the conclusion of the game, according to Rose Bowl Stadium, read September 2026. The count runs from the real end of the event rather than from the start time printed on a ticket, so an overrun pushes the deadline later. Overnight parking is prohibited.

Which parking lots does the Rose Bowl name?

Three Rose Bowl pages name them, read September 2026. The filming and crew page lists Lot B at 190,000 square feet, Lot F at 453,500 and Lot K at 490,000. Accessible Services places accessible stalls in Lots B, D and F. The stadium rules name the golf course, the ball diamonds, Area H and the West Drive RV parking.

Can you leave and return to your car at the Rose Bowl?

No. There are no in and out privileges for vehicles, in the tailgating rules, and once you exit the stadium, you may not re-enter, in the prohibited items list, read September 2026. Both lines belong to Rose Bowl Stadium, which states the restriction twice: once for the car and once for the person carrying the ticket.

How far is the Rose Bowl from the Metro A Line?

Approximately 2.4 miles on foot from Memorial Park Station, per Rose Bowl Stadium, while Metro gives 1.5 miles through the Arroyo Seco trail, read September 2026. The Rose Bowl Shuttle runs from the Parsons Engineering Complex to Lot B, and one Rose Bowl page ties it to a shuttle pass while another calls it generally free of charge.

A stadium that measures its lots and prices them for a camera crew

Everything the venue controls about an arriving car is published, read September 2026: the lot names, the areas of three of them, the exits, the streets, the rules for a tent and a grill, an opening hour on the event page, and the ninety minute deadline at the end of the night. The one number missing is the one a driver would pay.

Measuring a lot in square feet and pricing it only for a production is a decision about who the page is written for. A film crew books a space by the day. Somebody with a ticket books an evening and finds out at the barrier.
