About Lot Opens

The reader this site is built for already has the ticket. What is missing is everything between the front door at home and the seat: what time the lot opens, which entrance takes the car, what the bag check will turn away, and how long the road out takes once the lights come up.

That is not the season ticket holder’s problem. She parks in the same row every game and learned the exit years ago. It is the problem of someone who goes to a given venue once or twice a year, or once in a lifetime, and who finds the answer split across four publishers who do not talk to each other: the venue, the team, the transit agency, and whatever company sells the parking pass.

Lot Opens puts those four back together for one venue at a time, and says who published each number and when it was read.

What the site covers today

Sixteen venues have been read from their own published pages as of September 2026. All sixteen are in Nevada or California. They are:

  • Las Vegas: Allegiant Stadium, Sphere, T-Mobile Arena.
  • San Francisco Bay Area: Chase Center, Oracle Park, SAP Center at San Jose, Levi’s Stadium.
  • Los Angeles and Orange County: Dodger Stadium, SoFi Stadium, Kia Forum, Intuit Dome, Crypto.com Arena, BMO Stadium, Rose Bowl Stadium, Honda Center, Angel Stadium.

Those sixteen are the whole of it. The guides that were live on 10 September 2026 cover the three Las Vegas venues in full and the Bay Area in part; the remaining Bay Area guides and the Los Angeles and Orange County set are written and scheduled to publish over the following weeks. Venues elsewhere in the West appear on this site only after their publisher has been read the same way, so a city being nearby is not a reason to assume it is covered.

What the site does not do

It does not sell parking, tickets, shuttles or transfers, and it takes no booking. There is no affiliate program and no sponsored placement on the site as of September 2026. If that ever changes, it will be written on this page with the month it changed.

It also stays out of several neighboring subjects on purpose. Airport transfers are one: how to get from an airport into a downtown is a different question with different answers, and no page here tries to answer it. City to city routes are another. So are event reviews, ticket prices, team news and general travel writing. The subject is the last two hours before an event and the first hour after it, at a named venue.

Who writes it

Lot Opens is written by Alexander, working alone. There is no newsroom here and no claim of one.

The site also makes no claim to local residence, to press access, or to having walked any of these lots. Claiming that would be easy and unverifiable, which is exactly why it is worth nothing to you. What the site does claim is narrower and can be checked: every figure on every page was read from the page the venue, the team or the transit agency publishes itself, and it carries the name of that publisher and the month it was read, in the same sentence as the number.

That discipline is what the site is for. A parking rate with no issuer attached is a rumour, and rumours about lot prices and bag sizes are what sent most readers looking in the first place. Where a venue publishes nothing, the page says so rather than borrowing a number from a blog that guessed.

When something here is wrong

Venues change rules without notice, sometimes for a single event, and a page dated September 2026 describes what its issuer published in September 2026. Corrections are welcome and are checked against the issuer, not argued about. Send one to [email protected] with a link to the page where the venue publishes the right figure, and the guide will be corrected and re-dated.

The full method, including what the labels “Lot Opens calculation” and “Lot Opens count” mean when you see them in a guide, is on the how we verify page.
