This page describes what actually happens when you read lotopens.com, in September 2026. It is short because the site does very little with data: it publishes articles, counts visits in aggregate, and sells nothing.
What the site does not collect
There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no account registration and no comment form anywhere on this site. Nobody is asked for a name, an email address, a phone number or a payment detail, so none of that is stored. Lot Opens sells no parking, tickets or transfers, has no shopping basket and runs no affiliate program, which means there are no order records and no affiliate tracking identifiers following you between sites.
No advertising or remarketing tags are served on these pages. No data about you is sold, rented or shared for cross context behavioral advertising, which is not a policy position so much as a description: there is nothing here to sell it to.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to see which guides get read and which get ignored. That is the one measurement tool installed, and it drives editorial decisions: a venue guide nobody opens gets rewritten or dropped.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects the usual aggregate signals: pages viewed, approximate location derived from network data, device type, browser, language and the referring site. The property is configured with IP anonymization enabled, so the address your browser presents is truncated by Google before processing. What arrives on this end is counts and trends, not individual readers. Nobody here can pick you out of it, look you up by name, or connect a visit to an identity.
Google processes that data as a service provider under its own terms and privacy policy. Google’s own description of how it handles data from sites that use its services is published at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Hosting and delivery
The site runs on a commercial web hosting provider’s server and is delivered through Cloudflare, a content delivery and security network. Both keep standard server logs of requests, which typically include the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser’s user agent string. Those logs exist to deliver pages, to keep the site online and to block attacks. They are not used for analytics or profiling, and they are not combined with anything else. Cloudflare may set a cookie of its own for security purposes as part of that delivery.
Refusing the cookies
Analytics cookies are the only cookies this site sets on purpose, and nothing on the site breaks without them. Every guide reads the same with analytics blocked.
You can refuse them in three ways. Your browser’s settings will block or delete cookies for this site specifically. A content blocker or a browser with tracking protection turned on will stop the Google Analytics script from loading at all. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Analytics across every site that uses it, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Links to other sites
These guides link constantly to venue, team, transit agency and toll authority pages, because that is where the figures come from. Following one takes you off this site and onto theirs, where their own privacy practices and cookies apply, not these. The same is true of any parking operator mentioned in a guide.
Your questions and requests
Write to [email protected]. If you are in a place that gives you rights over your personal data, that is the address to use, with one honest caveat: because the analytics here are aggregated and IP anonymized, there is usually no record that can be identified as yours to retrieve or delete. Where that is the case, the answer will say so plainly rather than inventing a process.
Email sent to that address is read and kept in an ordinary mailbox for as long as the correspondence is useful, typically to track a correction through to the page being updated. It is not added to any list.
Children
The site publishes event day logistics for adults planning a trip and is not directed at children, and no part of it asks for anyone’s age.
Changes to this page
If the site starts doing something new with data, this page changes first and carries the month of the change. It was last reviewed in September 2026.
