Chase Center does publish a door time, and it moves between a game and a concert
Doors at Chase Center are scheduled to open 90 minutes before a Warriors or Valkyries game, and typically 60 minutes before other events. Favorable is arriving 2.5 hours out on a game night, when bag check and the 78X both start. Normal is the door time. Unfavorable is 3 hours out, when nothing has opened.

That single difference reshapes an entire evening. Three services at 1 Warriors Way count backwards from doors, and four count backwards from the event start, so a 30 minute change in the door time moves half the arrival schedule and leaves the other half exactly where it was.
The arena states the door rule in its own visitor information, read on 5 September 2026, under the question about the earliest time a guest can enter. The rule is easy to find once you know it exists. Nobody assembles the ladder of services around it.
Seven Chase Center services, and only three of them answer to the doors
Each row below names the clock a service is measured against, which is the variable that decides whether a change in the door time moves it. Bag check, the Box Office and Will Call travel with the doors. The garage, the 78X bus and the Bike Valet do not.
| Service at 1 Warriors Way, read September 2026 | Clock it counts from | First minute it is open | The limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Doors into Chase Center | Event start time | 90 minutes before a Warriors or Valkyries game, typically 60 minutes before other events | Concert door times vary by event and are subject to change |
| Chase Center Box Office, West Entrance | Doors | 1 hour before doors on an event day | Monday through Friday it keeps its own hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. |
| Will Call at the Box Office | Doors | 1 hour before doors, on the day of the event | Photo identification is required to collect a ticket |
| Chase Center Bag Check at the Bike Valet | Doors | 60 minutes before doors open | It closes 60 minutes after the event ends and takes a $10 fee |
| Chase Center Garage public parking, 99 Warriors Way | Event start time | 8 a.m., and it stops taking new cars 4 hours before the start | Every public vehicle has to be out before the event begins |
| Chase Center Garage event parking | Event start time | 2 hours before the start, at $75 on entry | Nothing is sold between the 4 hour and the 2 hour marks |
| Bus 78X to 16th St Mission BART | Event start time | 2.5 hours before the event | Service ends 1 hour after the event and runs on event days only |
| Bike Valet on 16th Street | Event start time | 1 hour before the start in one document, 2 hours in another | Chase Center publishes both figures, for a space holding 300 bikes |
Four of the eight rows carry a figure the arena measures from its own start time. Three carry a figure measured from a door that moves. The eighth is the row where Chase Center contradicts itself.
The 90 minute door rule covers basketball, and everything else gets the word typically
Doors into Chase Center open 90 minutes before the start of each Warriors and Valkyries game, according to the arena’s visitor information, read on 5 September 2026. Door times for other Chase Center events are described in the same document as typically 60 minutes prior to the event.
Two of the venue’s own pages handle the second half of that sentence differently. Visitor information gives the 60 minute default for non basketball events. The A to Z guide, read the same day, says only that door times for concerts and events vary and are subject to change, and sends the reader to the event listing.
Reading them together produces the honest version. A basketball ticket carries a fixed door rule, and a concert ticket carries a default that the event page can override, which is why the arena repeats the address of that page in both documents.
Other venues in this niche settle it differently. Allegiant Stadium publishes 2 hours before kickoff for Raiders games and 90 minutes for UNLV games, a split by tenant rather than by event type. At Chase Center the line runs between basketball and everything else.
One clock for the home teams. A footnote for the rest of the calendar.
Bag check, Will Call and the Box Office all open 1 hour before the Chase Center doors
Chase Center bag check opens 60 minutes prior to doors opening and closes 60 minutes after the conclusion of the event, in the wording of the arena’s A to Z guide, read on 5 September 2026. It sits at the Bike Valet on the corner of 16th Street and Terry Francois Blvd, and it takes bags of any size, including suitcases, for $10.
The Box Office keeps the same relationship to the doors. The arena lists it at the West Entrance, open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and at weekends only on event days, one hour before doors open. Will Call carries an identical instruction: collect on the day of the event, 1 hour before doors.
Three services, one reference point, and it is not the reference point used by anything a guest arrives on. That gap matters most for a party carrying something the door will refuse, because the ceiling is 14 inches on the longest side and backpacks are barred outright, which is set out in the Chase Center bag limits and the entrance each size opens.
An oversized bag has a home. It opens on a clock the parking page never mentions.
A 7:00 p.m. game and an 8:00 p.m. concert, converted into clock times
The table below is a Lot Opens calculation, September 2026. The start times are ordinary arena slots rather than a schedule Chase Center publishes, and the arithmetic applies the venue’s own marks to each: 4 hours, 2.5 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour, and the door rule.
| Service that opens, Lot Opens calculation | 7:00 p.m. Warriors game | 8:00 p.m. concert on the typical door time | The published rule behind it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public parking stops taking new cars | 3:00 p.m. | 4:00 p.m. | 4 hours before the start |
| First 78X departure from 16th St Mission | 4:30 p.m. | 5:30 p.m. | 2.5 hours before the start |
| Bag check, Box Office and Will Call open | 4:30 p.m. | 6:00 p.m. | 1 hour before doors |
| Event parking opens at 99 Warriors Way | 5:00 p.m. | 6:00 p.m. | 2 hours before the start, at $75 |
| Doors into the arena open | 5:30 p.m. | 7:00 p.m. | The scheduled door time |
| Bike Valet opens, earlier reading | 5:00 p.m. | 6:00 p.m. | 2 hours before the start |
| Bike Valet opens, later reading | 6:00 p.m. | 7:00 p.m. | 1 hour before the start |
Rows two and three are the point. On the Warriors night they land on the same minute, 4:30 p.m., so the first bus out of BART reaches Mission Bay exactly when the bag check opens. On the concert night that bus runs half an hour before anything else in the building will take a bag, a wallet or a car.
Nothing in that shift is a scheduling decision. It falls out of a door moving from 90 minutes to 60.
The earliest useful arrival at 1 Warriors Way is 2.5 hours out, and the 78X sets it
Muni’s 78X links Chase Center to 16th St Mission BART Station from 2.5 hours before an event until 1 hour after it, according to the arena’s transportation guide, read on 5 September 2026. No other service the venue names starts earlier against the event start.
Public parking looks earlier and is not. The Chase Center Garage takes public cars from 8 a.m., then shuts to new arrivals 4 hours before the start and turns every public vehicle out before the event begins, so an early space there buys a Mission Bay workday rather than a seat.
Rail carries no such ceiling. SFMTA runs the T Third Street from 6 a.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. at weekends, so a Muni arrival can be hours early while a bus arrival cannot beat 2.5 hours. Missing a train costs 10 minutes on a weekday afternoon and 12 at weekends, which is the buffer a rail arrival actually needs.
For a guest with a ticket and no car, the T Third Street wins the arrival on flexibility, and the criterion is that SFMTA sets its span rather than the event does. The 78X wins for an East Bay arrival on a Warriors night, because it opens at the same minute as the bag check. Both rides are settled at checkout, which is laid out in the Chase Center guide to Muni, BART and the Caltrain walk.
Two Chase Center documents give the Bike Valet two different opening times
The Bike Valet is open one hour before event start time and closes one hour after the event ends, in the wording of the Chase Center A to Z guide and its transportation page. Visitor information, read the same day, says the same space opens two hours prior to the publicly ticketed event.
Both readings come from the arena and both were read on 5 September 2026, so the honest report is the disagreement rather than a quiet choice between them. A cyclist who works to the later of the two figures is covered under either version.
Location shifts between the documents as well. One puts the valet on the corner of 16th Street and Terry Francois Blvd; the other places it on 16th Street between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard, near the Seeing Spheres sculptures, with room for 300 bikes.
The helmet rule itself does not move. Helmets are not permitted inside Chase Center and are checked free of charge at the Bike Valet, which makes that stand the only published home for the one item a cyclist cannot carry through the door.
One Chase Center page requires a prepaid pass, and another offers a stub at the gate
Prepaid parking passes are required to park in the Chase Center Garage at 99 Warriors Way and the Warriors Way Garage at 150 Warriors Way, according to the arena’s visitor information, read on 5 September 2026, with limited passes available for select events.
The parking document read the same day describes a softer rule. It offers a pre-booking through SpotHero or a parking stub obtained on entry to the garage, and recommends prepaying rather than requiring it.
A driver caught between those two lines is deciding at a barrier with a queue behind. Treating the stricter reading as the real one costs nothing, because a pass bought at home holds a space while a refused entry at 5:00 p.m. has no fallback inside the stretch when the garage sells nothing at all. Both garage clocks are worked through in the Chase Center Garage rates and the window when nobody gets in.
Arriving early does not solve that one. Buying early does.
Three lanes at 150 Warriors Way, and each belongs to a different parking pass
Warriors Way and 16th Street both run one way westbound on Chase Center event days, and the arena sorts arriving drivers by lane before they reach a barrier, read on 5 September 2026. Which lane depends on the letters printed on the pass.
A CCG pass approached from the north goes to 150 Warriors Way from Terry Francois Boulevard in the far left lane. The same pass approached from the south goes to 390 16th Street from Terry Francois Boulevard in the center lane. A WWG pass goes to 150 Warriors Way in the center lane, and an accessible arrival goes to 150 Warriors Way in the rightmost lane with the placard displayed.
Four addresses share one street name on an event night: the arena at 1 Warriors Way, the public garage at 99 Warriors Way, the Warriors Way Garage at 150 Warriors Way, and the southern approach at 390 16th Street. A one way pair punishes the driver who aims at the wrong one.
The lane gets chosen a block early. So does the mistake.
The value of arriving before the Chase Center doors, item by item
Each item below sits in a separate section of the arena’s own pages, read on 5 September 2026, and each changes a decision made before anyone leaves home.
- Warriors and Valkyries giveaway items are handed out when the arena doors open, first come and first served, one per scanned ticket while supplies last.
- A no re-entry policy applies during all events at Chase Center, so a guest who steps back outside needs an unused ticket to get in again.
- Outside food and drink are refused, bottled water included, so a bottle carried from the train becomes a bin stop rather than a bag check stop.
- The accessible screening lane, marked with a blue flag and a wheelchair icon, sits at both main entrances and opens at the same time as the other screening lanes.
- Guests are advised to arrive early and travel light because everyone is subject to search, and the arena names garage queues as the reason to leave time.
- Walking in from the San Francisco Caltrain station at 4th and King takes 15 to 20 minutes on the venue’s own figure, and roughly 15 minutes from the Pier 48 ferry terminal.
- Any entrance reaches any portal, so the portal number printed on a ticket sorts seats rather than doors.
Where a Chase Center arrival plan breaks before the metal detector
Each failure below traces to a published Chase Center rule being read as something it does not say, September 2026.
- Applying the 90 minute door rule to a concert. It covers Warriors and Valkyries games, while other events run on a typical 60 minutes that the event listing can change.
- Timing bag check against the event. It opens 60 minutes before doors rather than before the start, so it moves whenever the door time does.
- Reaching the Box Office after doors to collect a Will Call ticket. Both open 1 hour before doors, and both sit at the West Entrance rather than the East one.
- Arriving 3 hours before the start by car. Public entry has already closed at the 4 hour mark and event parking does not open until the 2 hour mark.
- Riding in and expecting the Bike Valet to be open. The arena gives it two opening figures, 1 hour and 2 hours before the start, in two of its own documents.
- Building a late arrival around the 78X. Service starts 2.5 hours before the event and stops 1 hour after it, and the route exists only on event days.
- Counting the Mission Bay Shuttle as an option after dark. It is free until 8 p.m. on weekdays, which makes it an arrival service and not a departure one.
Which Chase Center pages carried each clock in this guide
Every venue figure above was read on 5 September 2026 through the arena’s own content API, because chasecenter.com serves almost no text to a plain request. Visitor information carries the 90 minute door rule, the typical 60 minutes for other events, the prepaid parking requirement, the Bike Valet figure of two hours and the 300 bike capacity. The A to Z guide carries the bag check clock, the Bike Valet figure of one hour, the no re-entry policy, the giveaway rule and the Box Office hours.
The transportation document carries the 78X span of 2.5 hours before to 1 hour after, walk times of 15 to 20 minutes from Caltrain and roughly 15 minutes from Pier 48, and the Mission Bay Shuttle ending at 8 p.m. on weekdays. The parking document carries the 8 a.m. opening, the 4 hour and 2 hour marks, the $7 hourly rate, the $35 daily maximum, the $75 event entry and the lane instructions for 150 Warriors Way and 390 16th Street. Muni spans and headways come from SFMTA, read the same day.
The figures in this guide were verified in September 2026 against the sources named in each section. Venue windows change by event, transit spans and headways change with each service change, and rail timetables change by season; check the issuer’s page before you travel.
Questions ticket holders ask about Chase Center door times
The answers below come from the Chase Center visitor information, A to Z guide, transportation and parking documents, all read on 5 September 2026.
Chase Center doors are scheduled to open 90 minutes before the start of each Warriors and Valkyries game, read September 2026. Door times for other Chase Center events are typically 60 minutes before the event, and the arena adds that concert door times vary and are subject to change.
The earliest event service is the 78X bus, which starts 2.5 hours before an event. On a typical 60 minute door time, bag check opens 1 hour before doors and event parking opens 2 hours before the start, so an arrival 2 hours out meets an open building on every route.
Bag check opens 60 minutes before doors open and closes 60 minutes after the event ends, read September 2026. It sits at the Bike Valet on the corner of 16th Street and Terry Francois Blvd, takes bags of any size including suitcases, and carries a $10 fee.
The Box Office at the West Entrance opens 1 hour before doors on game days and event days, read September 2026. Outside events it keeps hours of Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and at weekends it opens only on event days. Will Call follows the same 1 hour rule.
Public parking at 99 Warriors Way starts at 8 a.m. and stops admitting cars 4 hours before the start, with every public vehicle out before the event begins. Event parking opens 2 hours before the start at $75 on entry, read September 2026.
Two figures cover the same stand, read September 2026. Its A to Z guide and transportation page say the Bike Valet opens 1 hour before event start time, and its visitor information says 2 hours before a publicly ticketed event. Both close 1 hour after the event ends.
A door time that moves drags three services with it and leaves four behind
Chase Center runs two countdowns at once, and the 30 minute gap between a 90 minute game door and a typical 60 minute event door decides whether a guest meets an open window or a shut one.
