A first trip to Angel Stadium runs through six pages the Los Angeles Angels put online, and those pages do not always agree. The price of a parking space and the hour the lot closes never move between them. The gate time, the tailgating ground and the rideshare drop-off do.

General parking at Angel Stadium, 2000 Gene Autry Way in Anaheim, costs $25 bought in person on a Baseball Regular Season game day, according to the Angels, read September 2026. That parking lot opens 2.5 hours before first pitch and closes one (1) hour after the conclusion of the event.
What follows takes the day in the order a visitor meets it, one decision per section, each with the Angels page that carries it and the Lot Opens guide that works it through in full.
Angel Stadium in one table, decision by decision, with the page that settles each
Angel Stadium opens its parking lot 2.5 hours before first pitch and charges $25 at the booth for general parking. Favorable: a card, a mobile ticket and a clear bag within 12.75 x 6.5 x 12.75 inches. Normal: $27 bought online. Unfavorable: a concert date, where the Angels say parking rates are subject to change.
Every row comes from an Angels page read in September 2026, and the last column shows where a second Angels page prints something else.
| Decision on an Angels game day | What the Angels publish | Angels page carrying it | What a second Angels page says |
|---|---|---|---|
| Which bag gets through the gate | A ban on all bags, backpacks and carriers, with three exceptions: a 12 x 12 inch bag with a single zipper closure or flap, a clear bag within 12.75 x 6.5 x 12.75 inches, and medically necessary items | Security page and A to Z guide | The tailgating page carries a separate, larger size rule built around an airport style security box |
| How the ticket is scanned | Mobile-only entry in the MLB Ballpark app, with screenshots no longer accepted | A to Z guide | n/a: no other page read gives a different rule |
| What a parking space costs | $25 general and $35 preferred in person, $27 and $37 online, $100 for an oversized vehicle or bus | Directions page | n/a: the A to Z guide prints the same five prices |
| When the parking lot opens | 2.5 hours before the scheduled first pitch | Directions page, security page and tailgating page | The parking entry of the A to Z guide counts the same span from the scheduled gate opening |
| When the stadium gates open | 90 minutes before first pitch, or 60 minutes before a 1 p.m. start | A to Z guide | The tailgating page opens the Home Plate gate 2 hours before game time |
| Where a tailgate is allowed | General, non-preferred areas near the Big A, Orangewood, State College and Douglass | Tailgating page | The A to Z guide and the security page allow it only in the Big A Lot |
| Where rideshare drops off | The Orangewood entrance, through the Orangewood Bus and VIP Entrance | Rideshare page | The A to Z guide sends drop-offs through Gene Autry Way |
| When the parking lot closes | One (1) hour after the conclusion of the event | Directions page and tailgating page | n/a: every page that prints the hour agrees |
Eight rows, and five of them carry a second answer. Price and closing hour are the two lines a visitor can quote from any Angels page and still be right.
Three lot entrances and six gates at 2000 Gene Autry Way, with no Gate 5 among them
Cars reach the Angel Stadium parking lot through three entrances, on Douglass Road, State College Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue, according to the Angels directions page, read September 2026. Prepaid season ticket holders use the Express Entry Lane on Orangewood Avenue, where oversized vehicles and buses greater than 20 feet in length also enter.
Gate 1 and Gate 2 sit on the third base side near Field Level Sections 107 and 114, the Home Plate Gate is the main entrance between the two big red hats, Gates 3 and 4 sit on the first base side near Sections 122 and 129, and Gate 6 is in right field near Terrace Level Section 236, in the A to Z guide’s list. No Gate 5 appears there, although the accessibility guide places accessible parking around Gates 1-6 and the Home Plate Gate.
Two lots carry a name on Angels pages, the Lexus Lot and the Big A Lot, and no lettered lot appears anywhere in what was read. The first 100 Lexus vehicles entering by State College Boulevard receive a free upgrade to the Lexus Lot just west of the Home Plate Gate. Honda Center is the other Anaheim door, and the two Anaheim gates compared rule by rule sets its bag limits and screening beside the ballpark’s.
Angel Stadium bans every bag first and then lets three kinds back in
Angel Stadium prohibits all bags, backpacks and other carriers, according to the Angels security page, read September 2026, then admits three exceptions after inspection: a bag of 12 x 12 inches or smaller with a single zipper closure or flap, a clear plastic or vinyl bag with no obscured interior pockets within 12.75 x 6.5 x 12.75 inches, and medically necessary items, diaper bags included.
Thirteen of the twenty-seven Western venues Lot Opens reads from source publish a clear bag box of 12 by 6 by 12 inches, and the Anaheim box is bigger on all three sides, so a bag built for that standard fits here while a bag built for Anaheim can fail elsewhere (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).
Nothing refused has anywhere to wait. There are no bag storage facilities outside of Angel Stadium and staff cannot store or watch a bag, the security page states, so a refused bag goes back to the car. The Angel Stadium bag rule, exception by exception, measures each allowance against the Western doors around it. Further down the tailgating page, a separate rule sizes bags to a box similar to an airport security box, and a bag packed to that wording is packed to the wrong page.
The ticket lives in the MLB Ballpark app, and no Angels counter takes cash
Entry at Angel Stadium is mobile-only, according to the A to Z guide, read September 2026: tickets are downloaded in the MLB Ballpark app before arriving, screenshots are no longer accepted, and a ticket in Apple or Google Wallet can be tapped at the gate.
All stadium and parking lot transactions are cashless, and parking takes debit and credit cards and Apple or Android Pay. Reverse ATMs that turn cash into debit cards sit at the Advanced Ticket Windows and near Sections 133, 237 and 418, throughout the ballpark, so a driver holding only banknotes meets the parking booth before any of them (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).
Walk-through metal detectors stand at all ballpark gates under the MLB mandate, and the security page names the equipment as Evolv Express and Garrett PD 6500i. Belts, wallets, watches, shoes, jackets and phones stay on the body; cameras, sunglass cases and large metal objects come out. Fans without bags spend less time at screening, which makes the bag decision a queue decision too.
General parking costs $25 at the booth and $27 online, on baseball days only
Angel Stadium publishes $25 for general parking in person and $27 online, $35 for preferred parking in person and $37 online, subject to availability, and $100 for an oversized vehicle or bus through a sales representative only, on the Angels directions page, read September 2026. Baseball Postseason, Supercross, Monster Jam, concerts and other event parking rates are subject to change.
Buying online costs two dollars more in both tiers, the reverse of the Dodger Stadium card, where General Parking is $40 in advance and $45 at the gate (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). Six of the twenty-seven Western venues Lot Opens reads from source publish an event-day parking rate, and Angel Stadium is one of them.
The ticket contract adds that vehicles in excess of 20 feet in length pay an additional fee, and that no vehicle may occupy more than one space under Anaheim Municipal Code 14.32.140. The Angel Stadium rate card, line by line sets each price beside its condition, and published parking prices across the Western venues puts the $25 beside the other cards.
The lot opens 2.5 hours before first pitch, and three Angels pages print three gate times
Opening time for the parking lot is 2.5 hours before first pitch, according to the Angels directions, security and tailgating pages, read September 2026, and vehicles are not admitted earlier, tailgaters included. Only the parking entry of the A to Z guide counts that span from the scheduled gate opening instead.
Gates are where the pages part. The tailgating page lists that Angel Stadium opens two (2) hours prior to game time at the Home Plate gate. According to the A to Z guide, all gates open 90 minutes prior to first pitch, except 1 p.m. starts, when they open 60 minutes prior. The accessibility guide prints the 90 minutes with no exception.
Take a 7:07 p.m. first pitch as arithmetic. The lot opens at 4:37 p.m., the Home Plate gate at 5:07 p.m. on the tailgating page’s reading, and all gates at 5:37 p.m. on the A to Z guide’s. A 1 p.m. start moves the three gate readings to 11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).
The plan that survives all three readings is to reach a gate at the latest printed time, 90 minutes before first pitch or 60 minutes before a 1 p.m. start, the earliest moment no Angels page describes as closed (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). Next door the zero differs, since Honda Center counts its lot opening from the event start printed on the ticket.
Every Angels page allows a tailgate near the Big A, and one page allows three more areas
Tailgating is only permitted in general, non-preferred areas near the Big A, Orangewood, State College and Douglass, according to the Angels tailgating page, read September 2026. The A to Z guide and the security page say something narrower: only in the Big A Lot. A group near the Big A is inside both versions, and a group in the Douglass area is relying on one page (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).
Alcohol consumption in the parking lot is illegal under Anaheim Municipal Code 7.16.010.010, barbecues must be gas or propane units with fuel valve turn-offs under AMC 11.04.095, catering trucks are refused and overnight parking is prohibited under AMC 14.32.160. Across the district the question hardly arises, because Honda Center sells no separate parking pass, and Angel Stadium and Honda Center parking set side by side follows both records through one weekend.
Two drop-off streets, one pick-up zone by Gate 1 and an untimed rail hub on Katella Avenue
Rideshare drop-offs should enter through the Orangewood entrance, using the Orangewood Bus and VIP Entrance, according to the Angels rideshare page, read September 2026, while the A to Z guide sends drop-offs through Gene Autry Way. Collection has one place on both pages: in the parking lot directly in front of Gate 1, near the City National Grove of Anaheim building, marked in the guide by a red rideshare light pole.
Rail and bus are named without a clock. ARTIC stands at 2626 East Katella Avenue, where bus, train and taxis can be caught; the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner station is a short walk away off South Douglass Road, with late night and weekend services available for fans; and the Orange County Transportation Authority serves the ballpark, with 714-636-RIDE to call for schedules. No departure time, fare or walking time appears beside any of the three on the pages read in September 2026.
The lot closes an hour after the last out, and the ballpark starts emptying in the 7th inning
Parking lot closes one (1) hour after the conclusion of the event, in the regulations the Angels print in the parking ticket contract and repeat on the tailgating page, read September 2026. Vehicles in unauthorized areas are cited or towed away under AMC 14.32.330, and extra innings carry the hour later.
Inside, the exit starts sooner. Escalators by Gates 1 and 4 are reversed in the 7th inning to run downward, the First Aid room by Section 130 is staffed until 30 minutes after the end of the event, and Guest Relations stays until the ballpark is cleared, in the A to Z guide.
Two refusals close the day with different subjects. There is no in/out parking, the tailgating page states, and that rule is about the car; re-entry to Angel Stadium is not permitted, the A to Z guide states, and that one is about the person. Leaving Angel Stadium, from the reversed escalators to the Gate 1 pick-up works through the hour, and closing hours across the Western venues sets it beside the other published figures.
Food in a one gallon bag and a one liter bottle, and two Angels guides disagree on which events that covers
Guests may bring food in a clear plastic bag no larger than one gallon and a factory-sealed clear plastic bottle of water or sports drink no larger than one liter, according to the A to Z guide, read September 2026. That guide calls the policy specific to all events at Angel Stadium, concerts and motor sports included. The accessibility guide limits the same policy to Angels game related events and excludes concerts, so a concert ticket holder cannot settle the question from those two pages, and Lot Opens does not settle it for them.
Seven ways into Angel Stadium, priced, timed and ranked on the Angels’ own lines
Each row joins lines from the directions, tailgating, rideshare and A to Z pages, read September 2026.
| Way into Angel Stadium | Price the Angels publish | Clock the Angels publish | Where it sets a party down | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| General parking bought at the booth | $25 on a Baseball Regular Season game day | Lot opens 2.5 hours before first pitch and closes one (1) hour after the event | General areas near the Big A, Orangewood, State College and Douglass | A driver with a card who decides on the day |
| General parking bought online | $27 on a Baseball Regular Season game day | The same lot window as the booth | The same general areas | A driver who wants the space settled before leaving home |
| Preferred parking | $35 in person or $37 online, subject to availability | The same lot window as the booth | Preferred areas, where the tailgating page refuses a tailgate | A party with no tailgate planned |
| Lexus Lot | n/a: no separate price published, with a free upgrade for the first 100 Lexus vehicles | n/a: no separate hour published | Just west of the Home Plate Gate, entered by State College Boulevard | Lexus drivers arriving early |
| Oversized vehicle or bus | $100 through a sales representative only | The same lot window as the booth | The Orangewood Avenue entrance, for vehicles greater than 20 feet in length | Group transport |
| Rideshare | n/a: no fare published by the Angels | n/a: no hour published for the pick-up zone | Drop-off at Orangewood or Gene Autry Way, pick-up by Gate 1 | A party that will not drive home |
| Pacific Surfliner, ARTIC or OCTA bus | n/a: no fare published by the Angels | n/a: no departure time published | A station off South Douglass Road and a hub at 2626 East Katella Avenue | Riders already on a rail or bus line |
For the lowest published price, the booth wins at $25, on condition that the date is a Baseball Regular Season game and the payment is a card. Certainty before leaving home goes to online general parking at $27, two dollars above the booth (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). A tailgate belongs near the Big A, the area each Angels wording names. Among car-free options, rideshare beats rail, because its pick-up point is published twice and no train departure is published at all.
Angels lines to settle before the car leaves for Anaheim
Each line comes from the A to Z guide or the security page, read September 2026.
- Download the ticket before the drive. Entry is mobile-only in the MLB Ballpark app, and a screenshot is no longer accepted at the gate.
- Leave aerosol sunscreen out of the bag. Aerosol spray cans, sunscreen included, sit on the prohibited list.
- Check an oversized stroller instead of forcing it. Strollers must fold under the seats, and one too large is checked at the closest Guest Relations location.
- Report a lost item near Section 135. Guest Relations there takes lost and found reports during a game.
- Save the security line. The Angels give 714-940-2777 to call or text for a security issue, and 714-940-2000 on game days.
Where a first Angel Stadium day comes apart, from the booth to the seat
Six assumptions hold on one Angels page and fail against another, or against the gate.
- Buying online to save money. General parking is $25 in person and $27 online, and preferred is $35 against $37, so the website is the higher-priced channel.
- Carrying the $25 to a concert. Postseason, Supercross, Monster Jam and concert parking rates are subject to change, and no second figure is printed.
- Waiting at the Home Plate gate 2 hours before a 1 p.m. first pitch. The tailgating page opens it then, the A to Z guide opens gates 60 minutes before, and the gap can be an hour (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).
- Reading the in/out line as a rule about people. There is no in/out parking describes the car, and re-entry to Angel Stadium is not permitted describes the ticket holder.
- Planning to leave a refused bag with staff. No bag storage exists outside the stadium, so the car is where it goes.
- Tailgating in the Douglass area on one page’s word. Two other Angels pages allow tailgating only in the Big A Lot.
Six Angels pages behind this guide, and what each one carried
Gate times, mobile entry, the cashless rule, food, escalators, First Aid, transit and its own tailgating and drop-off lines come from the A to Z guide, read September 2026. Entrances, prices, the ticket contract and the closing hour come from the directions page; tailgating areas, grill rules, the Home Plate gate time and the separate bag wording from the tailgating page. The bag ban, screening and the absence of bag storage come from the security page, the Orangewood drop-off and Gate 1 pick-up from the rideshare page, and a second gate time and food scope from the accessibility guide. Honda Center and Dodger Stadium lines come from those venues’ own pages.
The figures in this guide were verified in September 2026 against the sources named in each section. Venue windows change by event, transit spans and headways change with each service change, and rail timetables change by season; check the issuer’s page before you travel.
Questions a first Angels game raises before the drive down Katella Avenue
Six answers from the Angels pages read in September 2026, each on a point where two pages differ or where the rule catches a first visit out.
Three Angels pages give three answers, read September 2026. The A to Z guide opens all gates 60 minutes before a 1 p.m. start, which is 12:00 p.m. The accessibility guide gives 90 minutes, or 11:30 a.m., and the tailgating page opens the Home Plate gate 2 hours before game time, or 11:00 a.m. (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).
On the tailgating page, tailgating is permitted only in general, non-preferred parking areas near the Big A, Orangewood, State College and Douglass. The A to Z guide and the security page say only the Big A Lot, all read September 2026. The Big A is the one area both wordings name, and the lot opens 2.5 hours before first pitch.
Two Angels pages name two streets, read September 2026. The rideshare page sends drop-offs through the Orangewood entrance, using the Orangewood Bus and VIP Entrance, and the A to Z guide says drop-offs enter through Gene Autry Way. After the game both pages put the pick-up zone inside the parking lot near Gate 1.
No. The Angels accept debit and credit cards and Apple or Android Pay for parking, and their A to Z guide calls all stadium and parking lot transactions cashless, read September 2026. On a Baseball Regular Season game day, general parking costs $25 at the booth and $27 online, both paid without banknotes.
Yes. The Angels list mobile-only entry, tell fans to download game day tickets in the MLB Ballpark app before arriving, and say screenshots of a digital ticket are no longer accepted, read September 2026. A ticket added to Apple or Google Wallet can be tapped at the gate, where walk-through metal detectors screen every guest.
Two Angels guides disagree, read September 2026. According to the A to Z guide, its food and beverage policy covers all events at Angel Stadium, concerts and motor sports included, while the accessibility guide limits the same policy to Angels game related events and says it does not apply to concerts. Lot Opens does not choose between them.
Angel Stadium prints its price once and its gate time three ways
Two lines hold across the Angels pages read in September 2026: $25 at the booth on a Baseball Regular Season day, and a lot that closes one (1) hour after the event. Everything a first visitor has to time or place comes in more than one version, and the plan that holds is the one that satisfies each version where both can be met.
