A parking page usually leads with a price and stays quiet about how many cars fit. Portland runs that order backwards.

Moda Center Parking: Five Lots Counted and Not One Priced: Lot Opens event-day guide

Five Rose Quarter parking lots are published with a space count and an accessible count each, and none of them is published with a price, read September 2026. Garden Garage, Annex Garage, West Broadway Garage, East Broadway Garage and the Benton Surface Lot all carry numbers, and the rate is a JustPark widget and a Ticketmaster checkout page.

What follows is built from what the campus does print: five counts, one approximate opening hour, two door clocks, and the two TriMet fares that are the only dollar figures on the pages read for this guide.

The Rose Quarter answers how many spaces and sends how much to a widget

Garden Garage holds 1,038 spaces, Annex Garage 350, West Broadway Garage 554, East Broadway Garage 533 and the Benton Surface Lot 92, according to the Rose Quarter, read September 2026. No dollar figure sits beside any of those counts, and pre-purchase runs through a JustPark widget or a Ticketmaster checkout page.

Each capacity, accessible count and charging count below comes from the Rose Quarter parking page, read September 2026. The price column is left exactly as the campus leaves it.

Six rows describe a space whose price the campus declines to name. One row carries a fare, and it belongs to the train.

Garden, Annex, West Broadway, East Broadway and Benton carry names, not letters and not addresses

All five Rose Quarter lots are named rather than lettered, and no street address appears beside any of them on the parking page, the venue guide or the directions and transportation page, read September 2026. Anyone sent to a Lot A or Lot C in Portland has been handed something the campus never wrote.

The naming matters for a second reason. Moda Center publishes as the Rose Quarter, which is the campus, and the same rules cover the Veterans Memorial Coliseum next door, read September 2026. A rule read for a Trail Blazers night therefore also governs a Coliseum event, which is unusual in a corpus where each building answers for itself. Levi’s Stadium takes the opposite route in Santa Clara and names Red, Blue 1 and Green 1, where a lettered lot is the sign of a bad source.

Without addresses, a navigation app has to be pointed at the campus rather than at a specific ramp. The campus address the Rose Quarter publishes is 1 N Center Court St, Portland, OR 97227, read September 2026, and the garage names are what the signage carries once a car is on site.

Adding the five published counts gives 2,567 spaces, and the off site lots stay outside that sum

Five published counts add to 2,567 spaces across the campus (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). Of that figure, 40% sits in Garden Garage alone, while the two Broadway garages together, at 554 and 533 spaces, come to 1,087, or 42% of the total, which is 49 spaces more than the largest garage holds by itself.

Accessible counts add the same way: 24, 9, 12, 14 and 3 come to 62 accessible spaces across the five lots (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). Each named lot publishes one, including the Benton Surface Lot, whose 92 spaces are under 4% of the campus total (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).

What cannot be added is the off site provision. The campus describes more than 1,700 spaces at NE 7th and Multnomah in the Lloyd District, read September 2026, and more than is not a closed number. Adding an open ended figure to five exact ones produces a campus total nobody issued, which is the kind of number that gets copied for a decade. Oracle Park meets the same crowding in San Francisco with a required pre-purchased reservation and no price of its own.

The 28 charging stations are four garage counts added together, and the plug is free to a paid parker

Twenty eight EV charging stations sit on the campus, and the Rose Quarter publishes the charging as free for guests who have paid for parking, courtesy of Pacific Office Automation, read September 2026. Sponsorship is named there, which is a different thing from a rate being named.

The per garage counts test that total. Charging spaces appear lot by lot as 8 at Garden Garage, 2 at Annex Garage, 7 at West Broadway Garage and 11 at East Broadway Garage, and those four numbers add to exactly 28 (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). No charging count appears for the Benton Surface Lot, so the campus figure and the lot figures agree without a gap.

That agreement is worth more than the charging itself. When the parts add up to the published whole, the five capacity counts stop being marketing and start being an inventory, and the 2,567 space total inherits the same credibility.

A JustPark widget and a Ticketmaster checkout occupy the space where a rate would sit

Pre-purchase happens through the JustPark widget on the parking page, or via the Ticketmaster checkout page when available, in the Rose Quarter’s wording, read September 2026. Neither route carries a figure on the page itself, and JustPark also appears there as the presenting partner of the widget.

Both are operators. An operator sets its own price for a space and that price is not the venue rate, so a screenshot from a booking widget is evidence of what one seller asked on one night, not of what the Rose Quarter charges. Nothing on the three pages read establishes a Rose Quarter parking rate at all.

Six of the twenty-seven Western venues Lot Opens reads from source publish a parking rate, and Portland is not among them. Chase Center prints a full rate card for its own garage, Dodger Stadium sets one price in advance and a higher one at the gate, and Crypto.com Arena prices two gates of the same garage differently.

TriMet at $5.60 and $2.80 supplies the only dollar figures a Rose Quarter page prints

TriMet charges $5.60 for an adult day pass and $2.80 for the youth and honored citizen day pass, printed by the Rose Quarter on its directions and transportation page, read September 2026. Those two amounts are the whole of the campus pricing, and both belong to the agency rather than to the building.

Rail reaches the campus at two stations on four lines. Red, blue and green MAX lines serve the Rose Quarter Transit Center, and the Interstate/Rose Quarter station, on the western side of the campus, serves the yellow line, read September 2026. Six bus lines stop at the transit center: 4-Fessenden, 8-Jackson Park/NE 15th, 35-Macadam Greeley, 44-Capitol Hwy/Mocks Crest, 77-Broadway/Halsey and 85-Swan Island.

One thing the campus prices, it does not schedule. No last departure and no post event service appear on the three pages read, read September 2026, so a rider knows the fare and not the deadline. Seattle answers that pairing from the other side, where the ride is settled and the timetable belongs to a different issuer.

Garages open approximately two hours out, Blazers doors at 75 minutes and Winterhawks doors at 60

Approximately two hours prior to an event is when the Rose Quarter parking garages open, in the Rose Quarter’s own wording, read September 2026, and approximately is the word it chose. General doors for regular season Trail Blazers games open 75 minutes prior to tip-off, and general doors for regular season Winterhawks games open 60 minutes prior to puck-drop, which leaves 15 minutes between the two door clocks (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).

Put clock times on it. For a 7:00 p.m. Trail Blazers tip-off, the garages open at approximately 5:00 p.m. and doors open at 5:45 p.m.; for a 7:00 p.m. Winterhawks puck-drop, the garage opening holds at approximately 5:00 p.m. while doors move to 6:00 p.m. (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). Move the same pair to 7:30 p.m. and each number slides with it: garages at approximately 5:30 p.m., Trail Blazers doors at 6:15 p.m. and Winterhawks doors at 6:30 p.m. (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). The garage clock is anchored to the event and the door clock to the sport.

Both door figures say regular season, so neither covers a playoff game, read September 2026. A touring concert has its own sentence: door times for Rose Quarter events including concerts and family shows vary, and typically doors will open one hour prior to the scheduled start time, with the Know Before You Go email as the venue’s own caveat. The garage still opens approximately two hours out.

The far end of the evening is unpublished. No closing hour for the garages appears on the three pages read. Twenty of the twenty-seven Western venues Lot Opens reads from source publish some figure counted from the end of an event, and Moda Center is not one of them.

Published count against published price, question by question

Each row pairs a question a driver asks with what the Rose Quarter actually prints, read September 2026. The right column says how firm the answer is, because an approximate hour and an exact count are not the same kind of fact.

Four rows are firm, two are unanswered, one is hedged and one belongs to a marketplace. A visitor plans against that shape, not against a single number.

Ranking four Rose Quarter arrivals by how much is known before the car moves

Two adults coming from downtown Portland: TriMet wins. The day pass is $5.60 each and the transit center sits on three MAX lines, read September 2026, so the cost is settled before anyone leaves. The caveat is the unpublished last departure, which makes the return the part to check with the agency.

A group of four driving in from outside the city: Garden Garage wins. It is the largest published block at 1,038 spaces, 40% of the five lot total, and it opens approximately two hours before the event, which lands around 5:00 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. start (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026). The criterion is published size rather than price, since the price surfaces only at the widget.

A driver in an electric car: East Broadway Garage wins on its own numbers, with 11 charging spaces, the highest of the four garage counts, and charging free to a guest who has paid for parking, read September 2026. Intuit Dome runs the opposite model in Inglewood, where the vehicle profile is registered before arrival.

A driver who needs an accessible space: Garden Garage wins with 24, followed by East Broadway Garage with 14 and West Broadway Garage with 12, read September 2026. Published counts make this the one question a Portland visitor can answer without calling anybody.

Who should take none of the four: anyone planning to return to the car mid event. There is no re-entry permitted for events at the Rose Quarter, in the Rose Quarter’s own wording, read September 2026, so a bag left in the trunk stays in the trunk.

Rideshare uses NE Multnomah St and NE Wheeler Ave, and the Steel Bridge is a driving instruction

Rideshare locations run along NE Multnomah St and NE Wheeler Ave, right outside the east entry, according to the Rose Quarter, read September 2026. Lyft is named as the official rideshare partner, which is a sponsorship rather than a fare.

The east entry pairing is worth noticing: NE Multnomah is also the street the campus names for the off site lots at NE 7th, read September 2026, so the walk in from those lots and the rideshare curb share an approach.

One correction belongs here. The Steel Bridge appears in the Rose Quarter driving directions, in the instruction to proceed over the Steel Bridge, read September 2026. It is a road instruction for a car, and the campus publishes no walking route across it, so a plan that turns the bridge into a published pedestrian approach has invented one.

Six things a Rose Quarter driver can fix from a phone the day before

  • Decide the lot by count, not by luck. The largest published block is 1,038 spaces at Garden Garage and the smallest 92 at the Benton Surface Lot, according to the Rose Quarter, read September 2026, and both are on the same campus.
  • Price the train instead of the space. TriMet charges $5.60 for an adult day pass and $2.80 for youth and honored citizens, read September 2026, which is the only cost the campus prints.
  • Check which team is playing before setting the alarm. Doors open 75 minutes before a Trail Blazers tip-off and 60 minutes before a Winterhawks puck-drop in regular season, read September 2026, which is 5:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. start (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).
  • Treat the widget price as the operator price. Pre-purchase runs through JustPark or the Ticketmaster checkout page, read September 2026, and neither figure is a Rose Quarter rate.
  • Plug in only where the count says so. Charging spaces sit in four lots, from 11 at East Broadway Garage down to 2 at Annex Garage, read September 2026.
  • Send a rideshare driver a street. NE Multnomah St and NE Wheeler Ave, outside the east entry, are what the campus publishes, read September 2026, and no garage address is published at all. Lumen Field shows the reverse case in Seattle, where two lots carry street addresses and a third does not.

A count is not a reservation, and four other ways a Portland plan goes wrong

The first misreading is treating 1,038 spaces as availability. A published capacity is the size of the garage on a quiet Tuesday and on a sold out Saturday alike, read September 2026, and the Rose Quarter publishes no live occupancy on the pages read.

Second is adding the off site lots into a campus total. More than 1,700 spaces is the published wording, read September 2026, and an open ended figure cannot be summed with five exact ones.

Third is reading approximately as a clock. The garages open approximately two hours prior to an event in the Rose Quarter’s own word, read September 2026, so a driver who plans to arrive at the exact minute of opening is planning against a word that was hedged deliberately.

Fourth is carrying the Trail Blazers door time into every event. The 75 minute figure is written for regular season Trail Blazers games and the 60 minute figure for regular season Winterhawks games, read September 2026, the two sit 15 minutes apart, and a concert answers to a third sentence that typically opens doors one hour before the start time.

Fifth is planning to fetch something from the car. No re-entry is permitted for events at the Rose Quarter, read September 2026. A bag check is available on site, and the campus publishes no price and no hours for it, so what it costs is a question for the counter.

The three Rose Quarter pages behind every figure above

Capacities for all five lots, the accessible and charging counts, the 28 charging stations with Pacific Office Automation named, the approximate two hour garage opening and the JustPark and Ticketmaster pre-purchase wording come from the Rose Quarter parking page, read September 2026.

The 75 minute and 60 minute door times, the no re-entry rule and the bag check provision come from the venue guide. The $5.60 and $2.80 TriMet fares, the two MAX stations and four lines, the six bus lines, the rideshare streets and the Steel Bridge instruction come from the directions and transportation page. Every sum and every percentage here is labeled as a Lot Opens calculation, and the counts for Chase Center, Dodger Stadium, Angel Stadium and Crypto.com Arena come from those venues own pages.

The figures in this guide were verified in September 2026 against the sources named in each section. Garage capacity and pre-purchase links change by event, door times change with the team and with the show, and transit fares change with each fare revision; check the issuer’s page before you travel.

What Portland drivers ask about Rose Quarter parking

Six answers about the counts the campus publishes, the price it does not, and the two fares that belong to the train, read September 2026.

How much does parking cost at Moda Center?

No parking price appears on the Rose Quarter parking, venue guide or directions pages, read September 2026. Pre-purchase is offered through a JustPark widget or the Ticketmaster checkout page when available, and both are operators with their own pricing. The only dollar figures the campus prints are TriMet fares of $5.60 and $2.80.

How many parking spaces does the Rose Quarter have?

Five lots carry published counts: Garden Garage 1,038 spaces, Annex Garage 350, West Broadway Garage 554, East Broadway Garage 533 and the Benton Surface Lot 92, according to the Rose Quarter, read September 2026. Those five add to 2,567 spaces (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026), with more than 1,700 further spaces off site.

What time do the Rose Quarter parking garages open?

The Rose Quarter parking garages open approximately two hours prior to an event, in the Rose Quarter’s own wording, read September 2026. Approximately is the word the venue chose, so the opening is not a promised clock time. No closing hour for the garages appears on the three pages read for this guide.

Does Moda Center have EV charging?

Yes. The Rose Quarter publishes 28 EV charging stations, free to a guest who has paid for parking, courtesy of Pacific Office Automation, read September 2026. Charging spaces appear in four lots: 8 at Garden Garage, 2 at Annex Garage, 7 at West Broadway Garage and 11 at East Broadway Garage.

Is there accessible parking at the Rose Quarter?

Every named lot publishes an accessible count: 24 at Garden Garage, 12 at West Broadway Garage, 14 at East Broadway Garage, 9 at Annex Garage and 3 at the Benton Surface Lot, according to the Rose Quarter, read September 2026. The five counts total 62 accessible spaces (Lot Opens calculation, September 2026).

What does TriMet charge to reach the Rose Quarter?

TriMet day pass fares of $5.60 for an adult and $2.80 for youth and honored citizens are printed on the Rose Quarter transportation page, read September 2026. The Rose Quarter Transit Center sits on the red, blue and green MAX lines, and the Interstate/Rose Quarter station serves the yellow line.

A campus that measures its lots and outsources their price

Counting is the expensive, unglamorous half of a parking page, and the Rose Quarter did it for all five lots down to the 92 space Benton Surface Lot and the 3 accessible spaces inside it. Pricing is the easy half, and the campus handed it to a widget. The result is a visitor who can tell whether a space exists on a Trail Blazers night, cannot tell what it costs, and gets an exact day pass price of $5.60 for the train instead. Precision was available; the campus spent it on inventory.
